History Crisis Pregnancy CenterThe original Crisis Pregnancy Center was opened around 1984. At that
time, the organization was affiliated with the Christian Action Council
and was located on Perry Avenue in East Bremerton. After a few years,
the organization went through some changes and was restructured,
incorporating in 1989 as an independent non-profit organization under
the name Kitsap Peninsula Crisis Pregnancy Center which was located at
1600 12th St., Bremerton. In 1995, our name became Crisis Pregnancy Center of
Kitsap County.
Pregnancy Resource ServicesStill more change and growth were on the horizon for the year 2000 when
the property changed ownership at the Bremerton location, requiring a
move. The Lord directed us to a new facility, very centrally located at
Sheridan Plaza, 2817 Wheaton Way, Bremerton.
Also in
2000, we changed our corporate name to Pregnancy Resource Service, a
name we feel is appropriate for women seeking our services in the
present climate of choice.
God has been with us from the
start and continues in His loving outreach to the unborn through the
work of Pregnancy Resource Services. Many lives have been affected. Our
desire, as always, is that God be glorified in all that we do!
